LSJ Logo incertThe Muskegon Community College women’s soccer team dropped a tough 3-2 game to Owens Community College on Saturday.

The Jayhawks scored first with only one minute remaining in the first half when Aliza Olsen scored off an assist from Kaylie Cartwright.

Owens tied the score at 1-1 two minutes later, but the Jayhawks responded with a goal from Melodie Glotzbach to take a 2-1 lead.

The final two goals of the game were scored by Owens with 17 minutes and four minutes remaining, respectively.

The Jayhawks believed they had tied the game up with a minute left but the goal by Caitlin Hughey was waved off after the referee ruled she was offsides.
