LSJ Logo incertThe Spring Lake volleyball team defeated Tri-County 2-0 and lost to host Kent City 2-1 in a tri-match on Monday.

Olivia Grimmer led the Lakers with 15 kills, while Alli Pennington had 32 digs and Abby Moe added five blocks and 30 assists.

The Lakers are now 15-15-1 on the season and 4-1 in Lakes 8 play.

Kent City won both of its matches over Tri-County (2-0) and Spring Lake.

The Eagles were led by Kassidy Heeringa with 10 kills, Meghan Boyd with 30 digs and Blaire Mortensen with 21 assists.

Kent City is 28-7 on its season and 7-0 in league play.
