The Fruitport volleyball team’s season came to an abrupt end on Monday night with a Class B district quarterfinal loss 
to Coopersville.
The Trojans, who were the Lakes 8 Conference champions this fall, lost in three sets – 18-25, 21-25 and 12-25.
Eliza Johnson and Ally German each led the Trojans with five kills apiece while Katie Veihl had 29 assists.
Fruitport finished its season with a 35-16 record.
