The West Michigan Lakehawks improved their season record to 2-1 with a 112-105 win on the road against the Northern Indiana Monarchs on Saturday.lsj-fb-logo

The Lakehawks held on after leading 54-50 at halftime and 86-81 after the third quarter.

Will Wright led West Michigan with 26 points, six rebounds and five assists while Mike Walker put up 20 points and five steals.

Tevin Bradley scored 21 points, Aaron Davis added 11 points and four assists and Lou Williams chipped in 11 points for the Lakehawks.

West Michigan will return to action at home on Nov. 21 and 22 when it hosts Lansing and Grand Rapids, respectively. Saturday’s game will be at 6 p.m. while Sunday’s will be at 5 p.m. Both games are slated to be played at Reeths-Puffer High School.

The Lakehawks opened their season with a 123-113 loss to Kalamazoo on Nov. 7 and a 115-83 win over Oakland County on Nov. 8.

The team will have 13 home games and eight road games this season. The schedule is listed below.
