After falling behind 32-28 at halftime, MCC turned in a solid second half led by Kelsy Hackbardt who scored nine of her 11 points in the half.

Morgan Giddings paced MCC with 10 of her 15 points in the first half and also turned out five assists and eight steals. Camaryia Williams also scored 15 points and had four steals.

Bailey Freeland gave the Jayhawks a spark early in the second half with a pair of 3-pointers and finished with eight points.
