Muskegon Community College volleyball team falls to GR Community College in final regular season match

The Muskegon Community College volleyball team fell to Grand Rapids Community College in four sets (23-25, 23-25, LSJ Logo incert25-22, 18-25) on Tuesday night in the final match of the regular season.

Ashly Schuitema led the Jayhawks with 17 kills and 11 digs. Marissa Hassevoort chipped in a team high 34 digs while Lindsey Jacobs had 45 assists, 14 digs and two aces.

MCC finished the regular season with a 20-14 record and a 10-4 conference mark, which is good for third place in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association and a spot in the regional playoffs that start this weekend.
