Jarod Wierengo led the way for Fruitport posting 14 points, five rebounds, five assists, and five steals. Cameron Brandow added nine points for the Trojans while Zac Miller had eight.

Pacing Holton was Jacob Bowden with 10 points while Kevin Slowik added six. 

OAKRIDGE 74, ORHARD VIEW 58– Oakridge used a balanced attack to get a season opening win over Orchard View. Brady Luttrull, Jaeger Beattie and James Cooper III each had 17 points for the Eagles. The Cardinals were led by Matias Keyes and Edriese Jenkins, who had 17 points and 13 points, respectively.

GRAND RAPIDS NORTHPOINTE CHRISTIAN 70, MONA SHORES 56 – The Sailors were disappointed in their season opener against a good NorthPointe Christian squad. The Mona Shores boys team dropped its first game of the season on Tuesday night. The Sailors were led by Kobe Burse, who had 14 points, seven rebounds, and six assists.

TRAVERSE CITY CENTRAL 70, LUDINGTON 64 – Free throw woes doomed Ludington in a loss to the Trojans. The Orioles went just 11-26 at the foul line. Sam LaDuke led the Orioles with 19 points, Noah Laman added 12 points while Cameron Bandstra scored 10.
