Red Wings 5, Predators 4 (OT) – The Detroit Red Wings overcame a two-goal deficit midway through the third period to defeat the Nashville Predators in overtime on Saturday night.

LSJ Logo incertThe Red Wings were down 4-2 with under 11 minutes left when Dylan Larkin cut the deficit to 4-3. Justin Abdelkader tied the game with a goal with 2:23 left in regulation.

Gustav Nyquist clinched the victory with the game-winning goal at the 1:41 mark of overtime.

The Red Wings have now earned at least a point in theEye on the D standings in each of the last 10 games.

Detroit goaltender Petr Mrazek picked up the overtime win, stopping 28 of 32 shots.

The Red Wings are now 15-8-4 on the season, good for 34 points and second place in the Atlantic Division.

Detroit will head to Washington to take on the Capitals on Tuesday.
