The Mona Shores girls basketball team traveled three hours to play in the Best of Michigan Holiday Classic Showcase in Detroit Saturday, and came away with an impressive 68-42 victory over
Robichaud.
Despite playing their second game in two days and traveling significant distance, the Sailors came out firing on all cylinders, gaining a 17-1 first quarter lead and a 37-11 halftime advantage.
Leading the Sailors was Jordan Walker with 26 points, nine rebounds, six assists and four steals. Freshman Alyza Winston added 20 points while Shamara Tumblin grabbed 10 rebounds and Nia Miskel had nine.
