Merritt Hamann’s 18 points paced the Montague basketball team to a 62-39 victory over Hart in a Thursday night West Michigan Conference game.
The Wildcats led 18-9 after the first quarter, 36-17 at halftime and never looked back.
Abram Erickson added 11 points for the Wildcats.
“I was very happy with our energy tonight,” said Montague Coach David Osborne. “We improved from our last game to this game, which is a good way to go into our holiday break.”
The Pirates were led by Garrett Eisenlohr and Alex Dodson with 12 and 11 points, respectively.
