The Montague girls basketball team exploded to a 15-point first quarter lead en route to a 54-40 non-league win over Fremont on Thursday.
The Wildcats, now 4-2, led 16-1 at the first buzzer and never looked back.
Montague’s Abby Christmas dropped in 11 points while Chase Jancek and Emma Flagstead scored 10 points apiece. Sydney Stine chipped in nine points in the winning effort.
Katie Parkhurst scored eight points to lead Fremont (2-3).
