The Oakridge girls basketball team got off to a red-hot start Thursday and cruised to a 65-15 victory over North Muskegon in West Michigan Conference girls basketball.
Oakridge grabbed a 34-0 lead after one quarter, putting the game out of reach by the first buzzer.
Sophia Ward paced the Eagles with 18 points, five steals and three assists. Hannah Reinhold added 16 points and had six rebounds while Cadence Chase added eight points.
For North Muskeogn, Mickayla Greiner and Christyn Pek scored six points apiece.
