The Orchard View boys basketball team is way ahead last season’s pace.
In 2014-14 the Cardinals only won two games all season.
On Friday they matched that victory total by beating Belding 46-42 in a non-league contest.
The Cardinals, now 2-1, had a comfortable lead through three quarters, then withstood a 14-3 Belding advantage in the fourth quarter to get the victory.
Treshawn Kelly led Orchard View with 16 points and three steals off the bench while Matias Keyes added 12 points and eight rebounds.
