The Holton girls basketball team jumped out to a quick start and defeated North Muskegon 39-31 in a non-league game on Monday night.
The Red Devils had a 23-9 halftime lead and survived a 14-8 fourth quarter run by the Norse.
Makayla Hutchison paced the Red Devils with 12 points,while Courtney Slater added nine points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
The Norse were led by Olivia Duncan with 17 points and Mya Duncan chipped in with 10 points.
