Red Wings 3, Sabres 0 – The Red Wings goaltender Petr Mrazek picked up his third shutout win of the season, stopping all 19 shots on Friday night against the Buffalo Sabres.
All three Detroit goals were scored past the halfway mark of the third period as the Red Wings snapped their two-game winless streak.
Dylan Larkin scored his 15th goal of the season, while Henrik Zetterberg added a goal and Luke Glendening had an empty net tally.
The Red Wings are now 24-15-8 on the season, good for 56 points and a second place tie in the Atlantic Division.
Detroit will head home to host the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday night.
