Red Wings 2, Ducks 1 – Riley Sheahan’s game-winning goal with 3:44 left in regulation propelled the Red Wings to victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday night.
The Red Wings are now 4-0 on their current road trip with two games remaining.
Tomas Tatar opened the scoring for Detroit, scoring his 13th goal of the season just 16 seconds into the contest.
The Ducks responded with a goal from Corey Perry at the 13:35 mark of the first period.
The game remained tied at 1-1 until Tatar’s goal at the 16:16 mark of the third period. Dylan Larkin picked up the lone assist.
Detroit goaltender Petr Mrazek earned the victory, stopping 30 of 31 shots.
The Red Wings are now 22-13-7 on the season, good for 51 points and second place in the Atlantic Division.
Detroit will continue its west coast trip Monday against the Los Angeles Kings.
