The Ludington boys basketball team jumped out to a 22-3 lead after one quarter then cruised to a 68-47 victory over Orchard View in Lakes 8 Conference action on Friday.
Orchard View cut the deficit to 12 at halftime but was unable to complete a comeback.
Noah Laman led the Orioles (4-2, 2-1) with 17 points while the Cardinals (2-5, 1-2) were led by Matias Keyes with 15 points.
SPRING LAKE 57, FREMONT 30 – Spring Lake (5-2, 3-0) used a strong defensive effort to down Fremont (1-7, 0-2)t. The big difference came in the third quarter, when the Lakers outscored the Packers 21-4. Spring Lake’s Keegan George led all scorers with 23 points. Griffin Lorimer grabbed 10 rebounds. Fremont was led by Connor Gronso’s six points.
FRUITPORT 71, MUSKEGON CATHOLIC 55 – Fruitport jumped out to a quick 9-0 lead and never looked back. Antonio Flores paced the Trojans (3-5, 2-1) with 24 points while Christian Martinez led the Crusaders (2-5, 1-2) with 26 points.
