The North Muskegon girls basketball team broke into the victory column Friday night with a 57-52 upset of Mason County Central.
The Norse are now 1-12 on the season and 1-8 in the West Michigan Conference. The Spartans fell to 8-4 and 7-2.
North Muskegon used a 13-7 third-quarter advantage to gain its winning margin.
Mya Duncan led the Norse with 24 points, including a 16-for-16 performance at the free throw line, while Olivia Duncan scored 15.
Kylie Mount scored 12 points and Rachel Allen added 10 for the Spartans.
