Sawyer Jensen scored a three-goal hat trick to lead the Mona Shores hockey team to a 5-2 victory over East Kentwood on Friday in the opening round of the 27th Annual Stan Konrad Memorial Hockey Tournament at Lakeshore Ice Centre.
The victory advanced Mona Shores into Saturday’s tournament final against Grand Rapids Christian, which beat Portage Central 4-0 in the opener on Friday.
Hunter Meyers and Spencer Anderson each had a goal and an assist for Mona Shores while Connor Edlund had three assists. Elijah Wilson added an assist for the Sailors.
Mona Shores had a 37-30 edge in shots.
