They led 51-23 after three quarters, but then had to survive a furious comeback by the Wildcats, who put up 31 points in the fourth quarter.

In the end the Norse got a 66-54 victory and improved to 7-3 overall and 5-2 in West Michigan Conference play.

Joe Osborn led North Muskegon with 15 points while TJ McKenzie and Riley Fairfield both scored 14.

Jacob Buchberger led Montague with 18 points while Merritt Hamann had 14 points and eight rebounds.

SHELBY 66, MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 60 – Shelby had a 14-point halftime lead disappear in the third quarter and had to come from behind in the fourth to get the road the victory. Danny Beckman scored 26 points for the Tigers (8-2, 5-2), including several late free throws to help Shelby close the deal.

WHITEHALL 70, HART 46 – The Vikings (9-1, 7-0) continued their strong season with a win over the Pirates (2-7, 0-7). After a tight first quarter, Whitehall blew the game open with a 20-7 advantage in the second. Antonio Lewis led the way with 17 points while Connor Boyd and Mykel Fox scored eight a piece for the Vikings. Leading the Pirates was Austin Vanderlaan with 11 points while Dylan VanderZwaag had nine.

OAKRIDGE 58, RAVENNA 32 – Oakridge used a 16-3 third quarter difference to separate from Ravenna. James Cooper III led the Eagles (7-3, 5-2) with 13 points while Nick Castenholtz paced the Bulldogs (3-7, 1-6) with seven points.
