Riley Fairfield’s game-winning basket with three seconds left propelled North Muskegon to a 54-53 victory over Shelby on Friday in West Michigan Conference hoops.
Fairfield led North Muskegon (5-1) with 24 points while Erick Bleakley added 16 points. The Tigers (4-2), who failed to make a buzzer-beater shot at the end, were led by Jeff Beckman with 26 points.
WHITEHALL 65, RAVENNA 44 – The Vikings used a strong 22-point first quarter to pull away. Whitehall (6-1, 4-0) was led by CJ Watson with 13 points while the Bulldogs (2-5, 0-4) were led by David Thompson with 14 points.
MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 58, HART 25– The Spartans (4-2) jumped out to a 16-5 first quarter lead and cruised the rest of the way. Leading the Spartans was Mitch Lange with 22 points. Austin Vanderlaan and Bret Bonstell scored six points apiece for Hart (2-4).
