The Mona Shores girls basketball team cruised to a 73-31 victory over Kenowa Hills in an O-K Black game on Friday night.
The Sailors (15-3, 7-1) started the game with a 17-0 run and never looked back for their eighth victory in a row.
Jordan Walker paced Mona Shores with 27 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists. Alyza Winston added 11 points, while Shamara Tumblin chipped in with 10 for the Sailors.
Kenowa Hills was led by Stephanie Stapert with nine points.
FRUITPORT 46, MUSKEGON CATHOLIC 19 – The Fruitport defense held the Crusaders (8-10, 2-7) to only five second-half points to coast to an easy victory. Iyana Brown led the Trojans (16-2, 8-1) with 21 points, while Alyssa Veihl chipped in 16 points and 14 rebounds. Talia Tyler paced Muskegon Catholic with six points.
LUDINGTON 62, ORCHARD VIEW 26 – Kristen Reidenbach led the Ludington effort with 15 points and nine rebounds. Mikayla Mesyar added 10 points for the Orioles (9-8, 7-2). The Cardinals (2-11, 1-7) were led by Mari Brown with 10 points.
ROCKFORD 40, GRAND HAVEN 33– Grand Haven dropped its fourth straight game. The Buccaneers (7-11, 3-5) were led by Alexia Bouwhuis with 10 points off the bench.
KENT CITY 44. LAKEVIEW 29 – Kent City used big first and fourth quarters to grab the CSAA victory. The Eagles had a 21-12 advantage in the first quarter and a 16-8 edge in the fourth. Caitlyn Geers scored 10 points for Kent City.
