The Spring Lake boys basketball broke open a halftime tie to defeat Fruitport 51-40 in a Lakes 8 game on Friday night.

Jack Van Wingen and Griffin Lerimer paced the Lakers (11-2, 6-0) with 12 points each, while Keegan George added 11.

The Trojans (5-8, 3-3) were led by Nick Kramer with 11 points.

 FREMONT 47, ORCHARD VIEW 34 – Fremont fell behind 15-6 after the first quarter, but managed a comeback victory on the road. Dominick Byrne and Nate Hoffman paced the Packers (3-11, 2-4) with 11 points each. The Cardinals (3-9, 1-5) were led by Devron Williams with eight points.

LUDINGTON 59, MUSKEGON CATHOLIC CENTRAL 54 (OT) – Ludington lost a 16-point third quarter lead and was forced to go to overtime to get the win. The Orioles (8-4, 5-1) outscored Muskegon Catholic 8-3 during the extra session. Sam LaDuke paced Ludington with 20 points, while Noah Laman and Josh Laman each had nine rebounds. The Crusaders (3-11, 1-5) were led by Walker Christofferson with 18 points.
