Another great boys basketball season ended on a sour note for Spring Lake on Wednesday.
The Lakers, champions on the Lakes 8 Conference, fell victim to a bad fourth quarter and dropped a 57-51 decision to Coopersville in the Class B district semifinals at Orchard View High School.
The Lakers led 13-10 after one quarter, 26-21 at halftime and 42-37 after three.
But Coopersville outscored Spring Lake 20-9 in the fourth quarter to steal the victory.
Spring Lake was led by Keegan George with 18 points and Sam Johnson with 13.
The Lakers finished the season 16-5.
Coopersville will meet Oakridge on Friday in the district championship game.
