Red Wings 3, Jets 2 – The Red Wings snapped their three-game losing streak with an important victory over the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday night.
Muskegon native Justin Abdelkader notched the game-winning goal for Detroit with 4:36 left in regulation.
Dylan Larkin added his 20th goal of the season for the Red Wings while Jonathan Ericsson chipped in with a tally.
Detroit’s goaltender Petr Mrazek picked up the victory, stopping 23 of 25 shots.
The Jets were led by Marko Dano and Tyler Myers with a goal each.
The Red Wings are now 33-23-11 on the season, good for 77 points and fourth place in the Atlantic Division. They are four points ahead of Philadelphia for the final playoff spot with 15 games remaining.
Detroit will continue its home stand on Saturday afternoon against the New York Rangers.
