The Fremont boys basketball team closed its season with a 58-33 loss to Grant in the Class B district finals on Friday night.
Grant jumped out to an 11-6 lead after the first quarter and led 23-12 at halftime.
The Packers were down 36-24 after the third quarter. Grant closed the game with a 22-9 fourth quarter run.
“They played us close, but we made free throws down the stretch and made a run in the fourth quarter to pull away,” Grant Coach Josh Deklamater said.
Chad McCracken led the Tigers with 19 points and also grabbed eight rebounds, while Spencer Naffziger had a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Grant advances to the Class B regional tournament, where it will play Grand Rapids Forest Hills Eastern at Hudsonville Unity Christian on Monday.
