The Muskegon Catholic boys basketball squad pounded Kent City Algoma Christian 71-27 in a Class D district quarterfinal game on Monday.
The host Crusaders jumped out to a 24-11 lead after the first quarter, led 53-20 at halftime and had a 68-24 advantage after three quarters.
Christian Martinez paced Muskegon Catholic with 24 points while LaTommy Scott and Savion Thompson each added nine.
Kent City Algoma Christian was led by Austin Marsman with 11 points.
The Crusaders will host Fruitport Calvary Christian in the district semifinals on Wednesday night.
