The Muskegon Catholic boys basketball squad used a strong first half to run away with a 69-47 victory over Fruitport Calvary Christian Wednesday in the Class D district semifinals.

LSJ Logo incertMuskegon Catholic jumped out to a 21-13 lead after the first quarter, led 39-19 at halftime and had a 52-31 advantage after three quarters.

The Crusaders continued their solid play in the fourth quarter, outscoring Fruitport Calvary 17-16.

Muskegon Catholic was led by Christian Martinez with 18 points.

Alex Cammenga paced the Eagles with 13 points.

The Crusaders will next host Grand Rapids Ellington Academy of Arts and Technology at 7 p.m. Friday in the Class D district finals.
