The Muskegon Lumberjacks’ three-game winning streak ended with a loud thud on Wednesday.

The Jacks fell to the host Cedar Rapids RoughRiders 8-0 in the final matchup of the season between the twoLSJ Logo incert teams.

Muskegon dropped to 20-21-5 on the season and remained in seventh place in the USHL’s Eastern Conference.

The RoughRiders jumped out to a 4-0 lead after one period of play. Matt Felipe, Justin Cole, Callahan Burke and Hugh McGing all scored for the hosts.

Cedar Rapids added four more tallies in the third period to seal the victory. Burke, Felipe, David Nemecek and Sam Sternschein turned on the light for the hosts.

Muskegon was outshot 27-23. Joey Daccord started in goal and took the loss for the Lumberjacks. Devin Cooley played the last two periods.

The Jacks will travel to Green Bay this weekend for Friday and Saturday night games against the Gamblers. They will return home March 11 to host Sioux City.
