Shelby’s offense was clicking on all cylinders in its 81-56 Class C district semifinal victory over Hesperia on Wednesday.
The Tigers jumped out to a 26-8 lead in the first quarter, had a 49-25 advantage at halftime, and led 61-35 at the third buzzer.
Hesperia outscored Shelby 21-20 in the fourth quarter but couldn’t cut in to its large deficit.
Leading the way for the Tigers was Danny Beckman with 22 points, Jeff Beckman with 12 points, Spencer Brown with 11 points and Jonah Kelley with 11 points.
The Panthers were led by Dominick Verela with 17 points.
Shelby will face Mason County Central at 6 p.m. on Friday in the Class C district finals at Montague.
