The Wildcats jumped out to 5-0 lead in the top of the first inning but Whitehall responded with seven unanswered runs.

Montague had the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh with no outs, but only managed to score once and lost by a run.

The Vikings were led by Daniel DuBois with two triples and three runs scored. Pitcher Casey Huizenga picked up the win, allowing six runs on three hits while striking out eight.

Drake Roesler paced Montage with two hits. Andrew Bobian took the loss on the mound, allowing four runs on six hits while striking out eight.

Game 2 of the doubleheader was tied 2-2 when it was suspended in the eighth inning due to darkness.
