Tigers 7, A’s 3 – The Tigers snapped their four-game losing streak, defeating the Oakland Athletics on Monday night.

LSJ Logo incertDetroit’s Miguel Cabrera shook out of his slump, going 4-for-4 with two home runs, a double and four RBIs.

Victor Martinez added a solo home run for the Tigers, while Justin Upton chipped in with an RBI sacrifice fly and Mike Aviles picked up his first RBI as a Tiger.

The Tigers’ starting pitcher Jordan Zimmermann picked up his fourth win of the season, allowing one earned run on seven hits in 6 2/3 innings.

Detroit will look for its second victory in a row with a win over the A’s on Tuesday night.
