The Grand Haven softball team had no trouble posting a 3-0 record and winning the Alma Invitational on Saturday.lsj-fb-logo

The Bucs, now 8-1, won the three games by a combined score of 42-7. They beat Alma 11-1 and Lake Fenton 13-4 in preliminary rounds, then blasted Royal Oak 18-2 in the championship game.

Kylie Masko threw a two-hitter for Grand Haven against Alma. Masko and reliever Kaylee Hartwell combined to shut down Lake Fenton.

Yogi Hang and Audrey Boersen combined to pitch a two-hitter in the title game.

Grand Haven’s top hitter for the day was Mikayla Gronback with nine hits, including three doubles, two triples and one home run.

Jordan Buckingham had six hits, including two doubles, and one homer. Morgan Hill had six hits, including three doubles. Masko had five hits, including three doubles, while Hartwell had four hits, including a home run.
