Mikayla Hutchison’s game-winning hit in the ninth inning gave the Holton softball squad a 7-6 victory Friday over archrival Hesperia in the second gamelsj-fb-logo of a doubleheader.

The Red Devils were down 5-3, tied the score 5-5 in the seventh inning, then pulled out the win in the ninth.

Shelbey Younts, Morgan Murat and Courtney Slater each had two hits for the Red Devils.

Holton’s pitcher Hauler Brant picked up the victory for the Red Devils.

Holton also won the first game 7-6.

The Red Devils, who are 8-4 on the season, were led by Emily Larabee with three hits while Slater added two.

Mikayla Baker pitched the win for Holton.
