In Game 1, pitcher Zach Vitkuske took the loss despite giving up only two hits and striking out eight over six innings. He walked two batters to start the second inning, and both scored to account for the winning runs.

In Game 2, starting pitcher Jordan Wahr settled for a no-decision after pitching 5 2/3 innings and striking out eight.

The Jayhawks led 3-1 after four innings, but only managed one hit after that.

MCC is now 17-18 overall and 10-8 in conference play.
