The Jayhawks have won eight of their past nine games following Saturday’s doubleheader sweep over Delta College.

The Jayhawks, now 16-15 overall and 10-6 in conference play, won the first game 8-7 and the second 6-1.

MCC rolled up 13 hits in the opener. Six players had two hits apiece – Robert Spencer, Ben Sweedyk, Jake Sposaro, Mitchell Reyes, Colin McClelland and Jake Szombati.

Pitcher Rhett Holwerda got the win, scattering eight hits over five innings with four strikeouts.

Pitcher Brian Erndteman pitched a complete-game four-hitter in Game 2.

Ryan McClelland and Colin McClelland (two RBIs) each had two hits for the Jayhawks.
