The Ludington baseball team had a good night against Orchard View, sweeping a Lakes 8 Conference doubleheader 6-3 and 13-3.
Game 1 went two extra innings. Orchard View scored two runs in the sixth to knot the score at 3-3, but Ludington plated three runs in the top of the ninth to gain the victory.
Ludington pitcher Eric Freise pitched all nine innings for the win, striking out six. Orchard View pitcher Luis Suarez was also impressive, striking out eight in nine innings.
Nolan Stark led the Oriole offense in Game 2 with a pair of hits. Brett Shawl had a solo homer for the Cardinals.
