The Muskegon Community College softball team used great pitching to sweep a doubleheader from the Cornerstone University JV squad on Tuesday, 8-0 and 3-1.lsj-fb-logo

MCC is now 30-8 on the season.

MCC sophomore Katie Hendrickson pitched a one-hitter over six innings in Game 1, striking out 10 with no walks. The Jayhawks put the victory away with a six-run sixth inning.

Bri Mairose had three hits for MCC while Amy Gillings added one hit and three RBIs and Kayla Savacool had one hit and two RBIs.

Kyla Dutcher pitched the victory in Game 2, scattering four hits with nine strikeouts and no walks in seven innings.

Mairose had two hits and one RBI while Carrie Mesman had one hit and one RBI for MCC.
