The Muskegon Community College baseball team split a pair of exciting games with Lake Michigan College on Tuesday.

Mitchell Reyes had three hits, including a triple, for MCC. Ryan McClelland added two hits while Robert Spencer and Jake Sposaro each homered.

Jayhawk pitcher Zach Vitkuske went the distance and took the loss, despite striking out six.

In Gane 2, Lake Michigan jumped out to a huge nine-run lead after two innings. MCC rallied with seven runs in the fifth inning to tie the score 11-11, then scored twice in the seventh to gain a come-from-behind 13-12 victory.

Hayden Modaff paced the Jayhawks with three hits and three RBIs, McLelland added two hits and three RBIs and Jacob Sposaro had two hits and two RBIs.

Pitcher Greg Park got the win in relief, tossing 1 2/3 scoreless innings. Jake Boes pitched 4 1/3 innings, giving up one earned run.
