The Mona Shores girls soccer team used a strong second half to get past Zeeland East 2-1 Tuesday in O-K Black Conference action.
Both offenses woke up after playing to a 0-0 halftime tie.
Peyton Erndteman lifted a shot past the Zeeland East keeper to give Shores the lead. Soon after, Reagan Cox snuck a shot into the right corner to put the Sailors up 2-0.
A late goal by the Chix made the game interesting, but Madison Blackwell held her ground in goal and got the Sailors the win.
