The Tigers overcame an early deficit in the title game, scoring five runs in the fourth inning to take control of the contest. Winning pitcher Kris Josephson went six innings while striking out eight. Jonah Kelley pitched the seventh to earn the save.

Offensive leaders for Shelby were Zach Stuberg and Kris Josephson with three hits apiece. Matt Felt collected two hits and two RBIs.

The Tigers beat Muskegon 13-3 in their opening game. They led by three runs, then exploded for eight in the fifth inning. Kelley pitched a five-inning complete game victory. Leading hitters were Jamie Rupright with two hits and two RBIs and Dustin Carlson-Hicks with a two-run double.
