The North Muskegon and Shelby baseball teams split a pair of close games on Tuesday in West Michigan Conference action, with North Muskegon winning the opener 10-9, and Shelby taking the second game 4-3.LSJ Logo incert

North Muskegon’s Dalton Fuller drove in Alex Slocum for the game-winning run with an RBI single in the bottom of the seventh in Game 1. That happened after Shelby battled back from an 8-0 deficit. Fuller led the Norsemen with two singles, a double, and two RBIs.

In Game 2, Shelby who won in dramatic fashion in a game shortened due to darkness. Walker Barrs singled in Kris Josephson with the bases loaded for the winning run.

The Tigers were paced by Zac Stuberg and Jamie Rupright, who each had two singles.

Fuller had two singles for North Muskegon.
