The Mona Shores softball team picked up two wins over Forest Hills Central on Thursday, winning 10-8 and 13-3.
In Game 1, Mackenzie Willeke, Mackenzie Lund and Veronica Kastelic all had two hits for the Sailors, while Taylor Dew added two hits – including a two-run homer – and three RBIs.
In game 2, Lauren Patterson picked up the win on the mound for the Sailors while Kastelic added another four hits while scoring three runs.
Sami Sanborn had three hits and two RBIs for the Sailors while Dew added another three hits – including a three-run homer – and four RBIs.
Mona Shores is now 4-4 on the season.
