The WMCC and Fremont softball teams split a doubleheader on Monday.
WMCC defeated the Packers 10-9 in the opening game, Fremont responded with a 6-2 win in the nightcap.
In Game 1, Hannah Nestell paced WMCC with three hits and four RBIs while Ashley Sandin added two hits and two RBIs.
WMCC’s Haylee Moser pitched the win, allowing nine runs on 10 hits while striking out three batters in eight innings.
In Game 2, Catherine Bradford and Nestell led WMCC in a losing effort with two hits and an RBI each.
