The Mona Shores varsity baseball team relied on some clutch late-inning hitting and defeated non-conference rival Grand Haven 6-4 on Friday night.
Hunter Broersma and Tyler Trovinger hit back-to-back triples in the sixth inning to give the Sailors a lead they wouldn’t relinquish.
The Sailor offense was led by Caden Anderson and Nick DeBruin with two hits each on the night.
Connor Belanger picked up the victory on the mound for Mona Shores, while Trovinger picked up the save.
