The Montague softball squad cruised past Muskegon in a doubleheader, 30-0 and 19-1, in non-league action on Monday.

LSJ Logo incertIn Game 1, the Wildcats, who drew 18 walks, were led by Courteney Lohman with a double, home run and five RBIs while Hannah Smith added two doubles and three RBIs.

Lohman pitched the victory for Montague, striking out eight batters in three perfect innings.

In Game 2, the Wildcats were paced by Lohman with three hits and two RBIs while Emma Rupert chipped in with three hits and three RBIs.

Montague’s Alayna Merten picked up the win, striking out six batters in three innings.
