Rangers 5, Tigers 1 – The Tigers offense continued their struggles in Friday night’s loss to the Texas Rangers.
The Rangers were led by Rougned Odor with a double, home run and three RBIs while Elvis Andrus doubled and knocked in a run.
Detroit, which is currently in a four-game slump, was held to a pair of hits.
Ian Kinsler paced the Tigers with a single and double.
Detroit’s starting pitcher Jordan Zimmermann suffered his first loss of the season, allowing three runs on seven hits in eight innings.
The Tigers are now 14-14 on the season, good for third place in the American League Central Division behind the Chicago White Sox.
Detroit will look to snapped its losing skid with a win over the Rangers on Saturday afternoon.
