Orioles 7, Tigers 5 – The Baltimore Orioles scored seven unanswered runs to defeat the Tigers in comeback fashion on Thursday night.

LSJ Logo incertThe Tigers jumped out to a 5-0 lead before Baltimore scored two runs in the sixth inning and five in the seventh to take a two-run advantage.

The Orioles were paced by Jonathan Schoop with a single, triple and three RBIs while Chris Davis added a double and two RBIs.

Victor Martinez and Miguel Cabrera paced the Tigers with two RBIs each while Jarrod Saltalamacchia chipped in with a solo homer.Eye on the D

Detroit’s starting pitcher Mike Pelfrey took a no decision, allowing two runs on five hits while striking out five in 5 1/3 innings.

The Tigers are now 15-19 on the season, good for fourth place in the American League Central Division behind the Chicago White Sox.

Detroit will look to even its series against the Orioles with a win on Friday night.
