Rain and chilly temperatures didn’t slow down a goal-scoring barrage by the Fremont varsity girls soccer team on Wednesday, as the Packers blasted Lakes Eight Conference rival Orchard View, 9-2. 
The Packers had three different players score two goals: Makalah Mongar, Julie Vallernaut and Bryar Vasquez.
Tallying single goals for Fremont included Katie Parkhurst, Sam Schmidt and Holly Kortge.
Fremont totaled 26 shots on the Cardinals. Sydney Essebaggers was the winning goalie for the Packers.
