In Game 1, Fruitport set the tone by scoring five runs in the first inning. Trojans pitcher Aurora Wilks threw a complete game shutout, striking out five batters.

Wilks paced Fruitport offensively with two hits and two RBIs.

WMCC’s pitcher Haley Moser threw six innings and collected two hits offensively.

In Game 2, the Trojans again jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first inning.

Sammy Hockstra led Fruitport with three hits while Katie Veihl added two RBIs.

Trojans pitcher Rachel Paulsen picked up the win, striking out three batters in 4 1/3 innings.

WMCC, a co-op Western Michigan Christian and Muskegon Catholic team, was led by Moser, Janea Schultz and Leah Sweetman with a hit apiece.
